CHANGES IN LODGE MANAGEMENT

Changes in Lodge Management

We have recently made some changes in the management staff at our two fully catered lodges and we would like to update our clients on these changes.

Mvubu River Lodge:

The Lodge Manager who was at Nkwazi Lake Lodge, Gerda Mienie, has now been transferred to Lodge Manager of Mvubu River Lodge. Loraine Snyman, also formally the Head Housekeeper and Host at Nkwazi, has also been transferred to Mvubu River Lodge. Gerda’s, who has made huge contributions to the success of Nkwazi over the years, and Loraine’s experience in Lodge Management will be a huge asset to Mvubu and we are looking forward to their valuable input into the lodge operations.

Nkwazi Lake Lodge:

We have recently had further changes in the management of Nkwazi Lake Lodge, with Monika and Jochen Herrmann having moved on after the completion of their contract and we have now appointed Chris Rippon and Mientjie Devane as joint Managers of the Lodge. They are both long time committed stalwarts of the lodge and we are confident that they will continue to add value and maintain the standards that you have become accustomed to. We have also appointed Lynton Kennard as the new Assistant Manager, who will be taking up the position on the 1st November 2011. He has a lot of experience in the industry and will be of great assistance to Chris and Mientjie, and helping to create a dynamic management team.

We wish Gerda, Loraine, Chris, Mientjie and Lynton all the best in their new positions and we are confident that they will prove to be valuable assets to Pongola Game Reserve.
